MUZZLE

I've been busy assisting Jonny Dixon on his solo mask/puppet show MUZZLE - in which Peter and the Wolf collides with the Siege of Stalingrad. Amy Rose is directing and it will be featured in the Bristol Festival of Puppetry in early Sept this year.

Here are some pretty pics...

I have been busy writing away and getting various illustrations together for some other projects.
'Cockney Coppers' was an animation project that looks to now be featured in a 'Computer' animation 'how to ' book.
So I have set up a blog for the books author and publishers...Anyway I'm now thinking design wise these characters may have some legs as puppets.
Not sure but watch this space...
The scripts, short sketches, I have been writing are still in development as far as the Toast project goes. ( As are my character designs).Anyway you can check out the blogs here...

Lets burn some toast!

Went to see Cori engaged in a delightful bit of puppetry in Mayfest. She's been working for some time with Tomasin Cuthbert's company Soap Soup and they've been developing a piece called Sir Gregory's Hutch for over a year. I had seen three slices of what seemed quite disconnected so was deeply pleased to see how they had worked it into a satisfying theatrical mouthful. Mmmm.

Jonny and I have been dolly waggling for the Welsh National Opera in their production of Tchaikovsky's Queen of Spades. 2 more to go!

Cori and I have been workshopping together; a month ago on a puppet project with (very) young mums in Bristol and this weekend we're off to Farnham to deliver a Youth Theatre School taster session.

I just left the workshop where Max has been beavering away on some back-pack fly wings for Pickled Image's new street show. they rock! I'll get him to post some photos or a video...
